Mid-slope on Mt. Ikoma, at a retreat founded in 1918,
three cafés open at dawn, noon, and dusk.
Morning — waiting for the sun to rise in the cool mountain air.
Midday — gazing across the Yamato Plain with tea in hand.
Evening — gathered around a bonfire beneath the city lights.
Each one asks nothing of you but to be there.
